As the credit crunch has wreaked havoc on people in the UK, the need for quick access to instant cash has intensified. Payday loan companies are big winners in this situation, providing cash-strapped consumers with an advance on their next cheque or salary and allowing them to keep their heads above water in the meantime. Although such are hardly meant to fund major purchases, they can technically be used for just about anything.
